The Rich History and Modern Revival
of Chesterdale Farm
Chesterdale Farm, stands as a testament to the enduring spirit of American history. The farm was originally part of a parcel of land initially purchased in 1703 by Robert Jefferies, who is considered one of the earliest settlers to America. Despite changing hands over the years, the Chesterdale Farm name has remained steadfast, preserving its legacy through each new owner.
The farm is believed to have played a role in the Battle of Brandywine, a significant encounter during the American Revolutionary War. Although many references to this involvement are circumstantial, they offer a compelling glimpse into the farm's historical significance, especially given the limited records from that era.
